by EasternEuropeans.co.uk
Hungary's Natural Thermal Spas
Hungary has been known for its exquisite thermal spas and springs that date back as early as the 1200's. The water is rich in minerals and has many healing properties. Here is a list of a few of the wonderful natural thermal spas in Hungary.

The Gellert Bath

The Gellert Bath is absolutely beautiful with its elegant tiles, and fantastic marble interiors. This thermal bath is now known as a natural thermal spa, and has been used for well over 2000 years. People come from all over the world to experience the effects of soaking in mineral spring waters. The water comes from many different springs in Hungary and is brought to the Gellert Bath to help people relax and soak in this precious water. This water has been known to help relieve symptoms resulting from arthritis, joint, and muscle pain in many people.

The Kiraly Baths

The Kiraly Baths is another incredibly spectacular natural thermal spa. It is known for having survived the dangerous Turkish period in the 1600s. The spring water in the baths is made up of calcium, hydrogen magnesium, and carbonate. There are also hotter spring waters that are enriched with fluoride, sulphur and chloride.

Lukacs Baths

The Lukacs Baths was the first large bathing spa building. There is a drinking hall where people can buy bottled water with healing agents in it. Outside the bathing spa are randomly placed showers, where people can just go and stand under them. The Lukacs Baths use to bring in very famous artists of all kinds, writers, poets, and musicians. Lukacs Baths were built in the 12th century and, was at one time, used to make gunpowder and to grind wheat.

The Rac Baths

The Rac Baths were built 100 years before the Turkish people came. The Rac Baths were used as the royal bath for Hungary's King Matyas. Once the Turk arrived, they changed the original building designs, and made octagon shaped vaulted hallways that provided a more unique style.

The Szechenyi Baths

The Szechenyi Baths is without a doubt the most popular of all the natural thermal spas in Hungary. More than 2 million people from all over the world come to the Szechenyi Baths every year. It is a very large natural thermal spa and the architectural design is extraordinarily well done. There are heating chambers, saunas, dipping pools, and the spas are very spacious at this location.

Hungary's natural thermal spas are designed to be in use all year. They offer true pleasure, relaxation, and relief from many types of muscular body pain people suffer from regularly. The amazing historical site at most of these spas is breathtaking. The people are friendly and warm and the benefits of coming to one of these natural thermal spas are extremely worth it. This is a once in a lifetime experience and should not be missed.

Everywhere you look; there is something historical and amazing to see. Hungary's natural thermal spas offer the complete package for spa treatment, and more.
